Who Are We?
“SUBSIERRA, Beneath the Sierra” is a group of winemakers and winegrowers from Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Alta. Both its vineyards and its facilities are located in municipalities located in the shelter of the Sierra Cantabria, on the left bank of the Ebro River. Hence the name of the Association.
It emerged in 2024, from the desire of women and men in the region to forge a hopeful future for their children and grandchildren, united by the sustainable cultivation of vines and the production of wines that reflect their place of origin.
The eight wineries united through SUBSIERRA inherit a family tradition that passes from generation to generation. Solidarity among its members, commitment to the territory, and love for a job well done are the pillars of this association.
