SUBSIERRA | Territory, vineyard and family wineries

“SUBSIERRA, Below the Sierra” brings together winemakers and winegrowers from Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Alta linked to a common territory, between the Sierra de Toloño-Cantabria and the left bank of the Ebro River.

The association was born in 2024 with the shared will to take care of the vineyard, defend sustainable viticulture and forge a hopeful future for the region through the production of wines that reflect their place of origin.

We work to preserve the old vineyard and recover native varieties,

Manual harvest

The grape harvest is carried out
exclusively by hand, with precision, respecting the moment of each plot and the identity of each vineyard.

We defend fair prices for a value chain linked to the territory and to winegrowers committed to a responsible way of working.

Maximum expression of the terroir

We work so that the wines of

The SUBSIERRA Winegrowers Network was born to take care of what sustains this territory: the people who work the vineyards, conserve the landscape and keep the link with the origin alive.

Because the future of this territory is also cultivated from the vineyard.
